This image shows the garden in summer with the more shady, evergreen border to the right, the "sunny" border to the left and the island bed in the centre. Because of limitations with the photos the alpine border at the top of the garden cannot be seen. The second alpine bed (with the terracotta pots) can be seen halfway down the photograph. This bed acts as a divide between the second and third terraces of the garden and is in sunlight for most of the day.
